Basim Karbalaei or Basim Al-Karbalaei (born 1966) is a Shia eulogy (latmiyah) reciter. He was born in the city of Karbala, Iraq in 1966 where he lived until 1980. During this time, he participated in processions in Karbala, which were held in mourning of Prophet Muhammad and Ahl al-Bayt (People of the House [of the Prophet]), who Shi'as regard highly.
