Harragas, sometimes spelled Haraga (Harrag in the singular form) (from Arabic حراقة, ḥarrāga, ḥarrāg, "those who burn") are North African migrants who illegally immigrate to Europe or to European-controlled islands sometimes in makeshift boats.
