After the departure of Pierre Van Dormael and a trip to Africa, the band became Aka Moon.Galland is known for his creativity and his mastery of very complex rhythms. He plays jazz, but also African music (he toured with Doudou N'Diaye Rose), classical music (he played with the Liège Philharmonic Orchestra) and pop music (with Zap Mama or Axelle Red). In 2003, he toured with Joe Zawinul's Syndicate from which he has now become a member.
