WGY is a Class A station which transmits 50,000 watts non-directional from a single tower located in the Town of Rotterdam. The daytime signal provides at least grade B coverage as far south as Newburgh on the fringes of the New York City market, as far west as the fringes of the Syracuse and Binghamton markets, as far north as Rutland, Vermont and as far east as the suburbs of Springfield, Massachusetts. At night, it reaches much of the eastern half of North America.
