William Barr McKay (died February 1958) is the author of Volumes 1-3 of the standard long established Construction manual McKay's Building and Construction, first published in 1938-44.The book now serves as a practical guide to traditional forms of building and construction as they were before the Second World War. The text and numerous drawings by McKay explain processes and techniques that are essential to brickwork, masonry, slating, carpentry, joinery, plumbing and drainage.
