André Gertler (26 July 1907 – 23 July 1998) was a classical violinist and teacher.Born in Budapest, he fled the country under the Nazis. He was a teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music, in Brussels, Belgium.Gertler was a friend and admirer of Béla Bartók, and he recorded all the works that Bartók composed for the violin, including his two concertos. He is considered one of the best players of Bartók's music.
