Patrick Edward Rice (born November 2, 1963 in Rapid City, South Dakota) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners (1991). From 1995-1997, Rice was the pitching coach for the Low-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers in the Mariners organization. He was the pitching coach for Orlando in 1998 and New Haven in 1999 (both Double-A). From 2000-2007, he was the minor league pitching coordinator for the Mariners. He left the Mariners' organization in 2008 to become the pitching coach for the Single-A San Jose Giants in the San Francisco Giants organization. On December 15, 2008, he was announced as the pitching coach for Triple-A Fresno.
